Specialty Coating Systems provides Parylene conformal coatings for the many industries including medical, electronics, automotive and other industrial applications.  SCS’ primary business is providing customized coating application services.  SCS also designs and manufactures Parylene and non-Parylene coating equipment and sells Parylene dimer to customers with in-house coating applications.  SCS is the world’s leading Parylene conformal coating company.

SCS predecessor companies date back to the initial commercialization of Parylene by Union Carbide Corporation.  In 1971, SCS became one of the first Parylene service providers in the world.  In 1984, Union Carbide acquired SCS’s predecessor company and merged it with other divisions to form Specialty Coating Systems.  The company is headquartered in Indianapolis with coating facilities in Amherst, New Hampshire, Ontario California, Clear Lake, Wisconsin, Costa Rica, Japan, United Kingdom, Ireland and Singapore.
