Berwind Natural Resources Corporation
ESTABLISHED IN THE 1800's

Berwind Natural Resources Corporation (BNRC) is an Appalachian-based land and resource management company with diversified mineral ownership in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia.

BNRC owns nearly 400 million tons of coal reserves and in excess of 150 million board feet of standing timber. BNRC's combined natural gas reserves, through royalty and working-interest ownership investments, exceed 25 billion cubic feet.

The company's marketing activities are primarily conducted by the leasing, development and sale of its various mineral resources. BNRC's most significant business segment, coal leasing, engages in a number of leasing transactions with a variety of coal producers who sell into the utility power generation and steel producing markets. BNRC's natural gas business segment partners with various operators to develop and extract natural gas reserves. The company also markets a variety of hardwood species timber from its Appalachian properties.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, BNRC traces its land and resources involvement with Berwind back to the late 1800's. Today's company maintains six business entities that support its diversified land management activities.
